Remarks: Very bad weather. Formation broke up in clouds over target. Came out of clouds alone.  Dropped down below high clouds & made D.R. run on target by ourselves.  Dropped bombs on E.T.A.  Returned to base by ourselves.  Flak unknown.  Could feel explosions bouncing plane but could not see it in the clouds.  Very messed up mission.  Should never have been sent out.

[Note: This was the 379th Bomb Group’s 226th mission.]
